The city will be buzzing with the Lowell Folk Festival going on this weekend. Will there be art? Of course there will. Here’s where you can see some great art:
Shows/Events this Weekend:
Many WAS artists will be over at Art in the Courtyard at the Lowell Folk Festival. See our earlier blog post for all the details! Artists will be vending on Saturday from 12-8 and Sunday from 12-6.
You can also check out ceramics master Yary Livan over at the Craft area of the Lowell Folk Festival. Yary will be demonstrating Khmer ornamental & figurative carving, a skill that is now very rare and at risk of being lost. Stop by and check out his amazing work.
Jeweler Heather Wang and painter Tracy Levesque will be at the Greenway Open Market in Boston this Saturday from 11-6.
Ongoing Exhibitions: Last Chance!
This is the final weekend for Imaginations Unleashed at The Loading Dock Gallery! Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday 12-5:30, and Sunday 12-4.
Last chance to see “Who am I: An International Print Exchange Exhibit”, co-curated by WAS printmaker Markus Haala. This exhibition can be seen at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University – check their website for hours.

Mill City Grows Stories continues at LTC Lowell at 246 Market Street. Meghan Moore‘s photography work is featured, as well as video interviews with gardeners.
“Fashion Statement” is a group show at the Mill Brook Gallery & Sculpture Park in Concord, NH. See work by WAS artist Ilene Richard!
WAS artist Sergio Bautista is currently showing work as part of “Community of Artists”! This exhibition can be seen at the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham, which is open Wednesday through Sunday – check their website for hours. The show runs through August 4th.
