Gifts from the heART 2014
It’s First Saturday Open Studios time again! This month, we also have our Gifts from the heART promotion going on, with 46 studios participating this year. Visit participating studios, check out art while collecting stickers on your postcard, and enter to win one of 3 gift certificates.

Barbara Fletcher
 
 
The opening reception for From the Land and the Sea is this Saturday from 5-7PM at The Loading Dock Gallery at Western Avenue Studios. Paper and 3D mixed media artist Barbara Fletcher is showing wall art as well as a mobile and free-standing sculpture during this month-long exhibition.
 
 
 


Barbara Poole - Zeitgeist
 
 
The opening reception for Garden of Unearthly Delights is this Saturday from 6-9PM at Zeitgeist Gallery on Market St in Lowell. See work by WAS artists Barbara Poole, Laurie Simko, Aron Leaman, and Susan Jaworski-Stranc.

Opening this weekend at The Brush Art Gallery in Lowell – Vessels: The Art of Containment. Participating WAS artists include Laura Doran, Laurie Simko, Peter Zimmerman, Bruce Wood, Nikki Giraffo, Barbara Guilmet, Samantha Tucker, Aron Leaman, Tracy Levesque, Glenn Szegedy, Tom Veirs, and Gay Tracy.
 
 
 
 


Tom VeirsWAS painter Tom Veirs is currently showing some of his work at the Concord Art Association in Concord, MA. Members Juried 1: Painting and Sculpture runs through February 16th. You can get a sneak peek of the pieces being shown on their website. The gallery is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00am–4:30pm, and Sunday 12:00noon–4:00pm


Judy Dunn
 
Also at the Concord Art Association in the Members Gallery – Space Between, which opens on February 2nd, featuring work by WAS painter Judy Dunn. This exhibition runs through the month of February.
 
 
 


Susan Plant
Ongoing at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown: Members’ Show 2014. See 2 pieces of work by WAS artist Susan Plant! This exhibition runs through March 1st, and the gallery is open Tues-Sat from 12-6PM.
 


E Scott Totally Wired
Head over to Salon City in downtown Lowell to see work by E. Scott Totally Wired. Showing now through February – Wire Tree Sculptures. Wall trees as well as self-standing (mounted on stone) models are available for viewing and sale. Check Salon City’s website for hours!

Gifts from the heART 2014
Gifts from the heART is happening once again during First Saturday Open Studios on February 1st from 12-5PM. Over 45 studios are participating this year! This is a great opportunity to visit new studios while collecting stickers on your postcard. The more stickers you collect, the larger a gift certificate you can be eligible to win. Just fill out the back of your card and drop it in one of the boxes on your way out of the building for your chance to win one of 3 gift certificates.

Arisia 2014 is this weekend in Boston at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel! If you want to get your sci-fi/fantasy on, this is the place to be. Swing by the Arisia Art Show to see work by WAS artists Lisa Hertel and Mary Dumas. Check the website for directions, admission, and times.

Breaking boundaries showOngoing at Fountain Street Fine Art in Framingham: Breaking Boundaries: An Exhibit by the Artists of New England Wax. WAS artist Holly Berube is featured in this show, running now through January 26th. Gallery hours are Thursday – Sunday 11-5 and by appointment.
