When you look at my art I want you to feel welcomed into my experience of a place. Looking at the scene and thinking about common experiences builds a community that is centered in the painting. Shared human awareness based on observing, contemplating, and sharing to create connections is more meaningful to me than those based on social norms. My art is communication, telling people about a place I’ve experienced and hoping they can enjoy what I share.
