DESCRIPTION:A UMASS Lowell professor and a resident artist at Western Avenue Lofts\, INGRID HESS is a published author/illustrator and graphic designer whose work is influenced both by her Amish/Mennonite heritage and her four years of childhood in Costa Rica. \nHer research focuses on economic justice as a way to bring peace to the world and empower kids to understand that they can make a difference. DESCRIPTION:Making the transition from in-person to on-screen\, Open Studios continues. We’re moving our May Open Studios online for a week of art eye candy. From April 27th through May 2nd art lovers can tune in daily to see a different variety of art each day. We’ve organized the artists into groups by their medium so each day will focus on 2-4 different types of art\, links to artists profiles\, websites\, Facebook live feeds\, and Instagram feeds. Saturday will feature a best of the week rotation. \nThe initial schedule will be:\nMonday\, April 27th: Painting and Illustration\nTuesday\, April 28th: Photography/Video and Fiber/Textile\nWednesday\, April 29th: Mixed Media/Uncategorized and Sculpture\nThursday\, April 30th: Jewelry and Glass\nFriday\, May 1st: Clay and Woodworking \nThe Loading Dock Gallery has also moved their current show\, Write me a Letter\, to the virtual realm as well.
