DESCRIPTION:A small experiment in chance\, constraint\, and collaboration. Artists gave up their materials. They inherited someone else’s. Scraps\, textures\, odd fragments\, beautiful accidents. They then opened the envelope and worked with what it contained. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Western Avenue for Afterlife Ofrenda\, an 18+ evening celebrating Día de los Muertos with a little mystery\, a little magic\, and a whole lot of art. \nCome dressed to impress in your masquerade best and wander through an immersive world of Día de los Muertos-inspired décor\, interactive stations\, art installations\, live performances\, and unexpected surprises around every corner. \nThis isn’t your typical fundraiser\, it’s a celebration\, and an experience all wrapped into one fun evening. \nWednesday\, October 28 6–9 PMTaffeta Music Hall18+ | Masquerade encouraged \nCome honor the past\, celebrate the present\, and party like there’s no tomorrow. Welcome to the Afterlife. \n✨ Important Details: \n🎟 Tickets: Available for purchase at the door. If you preregistered\, there’s no need to print anything\, we’ll have your name at check-in. \n🚪 Doors Open: 5:30 PM \n✨ Event Begins: 6:00 PM \n🕘 Event Ends: 9:00 PM \n🪑 Format: This is primarily a standing and strolling event with seating available. Guests will explore art activities and enjoy Calle Allende’s performance: Directed\, created & designed by Anatar M. Gagné/Pinned & Sewtured \nPerfomers: Anatar M. Gagné & Madison J. Cripps \n  \nShackled by restraints of reality\, Frida finds herself unable to paint. In a moment of desperation\, she re-discovers her life source—the other Frida. Calle Allende is inspired by an entry in Frida Kahlo’s diary “The Two Fridas”. Calle Allende\, a puppet theatre production\, brings to life Frida’s struggle to reconcile her broken self and dying inspiration. Frida’s pain has clouded her\, but in a moment of clarity she soon realizes that without her imagination she will lose her lifeline. \nRecommended for  audiences age 14 and up for adult themes of pain\, death and miscarriage. \n🥂 Refreshments: Enjoy the bar and original Mexican cuisine and desserts. \n💡 Dress Code: Attendees are encouraged to dress in Masquerade/Catrina inspired outfits. \n  \nBUY TICKETS HERE
