DESCRIPTION:There are toys that behave.
And there are toys that refuse instruction. We want the latter. Misfit Toys\, Misfit Joys is a group exhibition celebrating interactive\, playful\, weird\, uncanny\, magical\, and delightfully dysfunctional art objects. We are seeking works that invite touch\, participation\, performance\, curiosity\, and childlike mischief. \nThink: Puppets with motives\, Action figures for couch potatoes\, Pop-up books from alternate dimensions\, Paint-by-number kits gone feral\, Wearable creatures comforts\, Stuffies that defy logic\, Games that can’t be won. \n  \nReception: November 7th\, 4:30PM – 6PM

DESCRIPTION:A small experiment in chance\, constraint\, and collaboration. Artists gave up their materials. They inherited someone else’s. Scraps\, textures\, odd fragments\, beautiful accidents. They then opened the envelope and worked with what it contained. Created a collage using the mystery contents for at least 75% of the final work. \n  \nJoin us for a reception on September 25th\, 4PM – 6PM
