DESCRIPTION:The Summer celebration continues this month. Art and Summer vibes\, what more could you ask for? Indoors and outdoors\, it’s a choose your own art adventure. So come join us for our August Summer Open Art Studios event on August 6th\, from noon until 5 pm and welcome some of our new artists to the community! \nFoods truck of the day: Plantiful Food Trailer \nThis month the Loading Dock Gallery hosts a show titled Altered Landscapes. With an artist reception from 3 pm\, until 5 pm. With a special appearance by Qanuk Nanuk\, climate change activist\, polar bear puppet. \nCovid-19 Guidelines: \n– Face coverings/masks are not required but recommended since some studios and businesses may require them for admission into their space.\n– Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.\n– We will have hand sanitation stations throughout the building. \nThere is no charge for this event. This event is dog-friendly. We just ask that you keep your pup on a leash. \nWe will post more updates as the event gets closer\, so stay tuned.

DESCRIPTION:An immersive installation that explores the dissonance between how human and natural factors transform environment. \nIn the words of the artist\, “Erosive Tension” is an art installation that explores the dissonance between how human and natural factors transform environment.  Erosion stems from the Latin\, “erode” – to wear away and consume. While natural erosion is the process of wearing away recycling materials into endless possibilities\, human erosion is the process of consuming resources to construct and preserve our versions of reality. \n  \nOpen to the public first Saturday of the month (August 6) from 12-5pm\, please schedule your viewing slot here. \n  \nLocated  in Studio 148 near 1st Floor Mini Gallery.
