SUMMARY:Invocation Of Place Show at Loading Dock Gallery
DESCRIPTION:This April\, representation\, and abstraction meet to create an Invocation of Place. Priscilla Levesque paints landscapes in the pointillist style\, a technique pioneered during the late 19th century by Georges Seurat. With meticulous detail\, she builds shapes from small dots of color.\nNoel Soucy creates abstracts using acrylics and alcohol inks. Her work is organic\, full of energy. Swirling forms fill her canvases inspired by the ebb and flow of forms found in nature. Noel uses her artmaking to stay positive and healthy during difficult times.

DESCRIPTION:Traditionally the first week of May is a week of celebrating the arts in Massachusetts. What started as Artweek Boston quickly has become a statewide celebration. While Artweek is officially taking a hiatus this year\, we still want to celebrate the arts. A fun and safe in-person art experience featuring some of your favorite Western Avenue artists and makers. This will be a more intimate and easier to navigate event than our usual Open Studios events but promises to be a great and safe event. This market will have many of our artists and makers vending. Join us at The Creative Soul of Lowell and support your favorite local artists. We’ve got a few new things we are working on\, so stay tuned.\n\nThis event will take place in our lofts garden parking lot\, on the west end of our campus. Park your vehicle in our main parking lot and walk over to the market.\n\nFood Truck: Empanada Dada\n\nFeatured Artist Vendors: List coming soon!\n\nCovid-19 Guidelines:\n– Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.\n– All guests must wear a mask or face covering at all times.\n– Please maintain a six-foot distance from others.\n– We will have hand sanitation stations throughout the market space.\n– There will be no public restrooms during this event.\nWe will post more updates as the event gets closer\, so stay tuned in.\n\nRain Date: 5/2
