Students will receive expert instruction in a low-stress and welcoming atmosphere.  \nThis class is an Open Studio format and features regular mini-lectures\, short demonstrations and coaching to help you explore concept development\, learn how to mix paint\, create new compositions\, and textures. \nMy mission for you is simple: I want you to create paintings\, not pictures. I want to get you comfortable with the creative process. If I can help you make your own artwork using best practices in technique and composition\, and get you further along the path of art through a wider appreciation of art history\, even better. It is about finding your unique artistic voice. \n\nClass is held in a professional studio setting (Alés Lores Studio – Loft 216)\nEasel will be provided. DESCRIPTION:We have greatly missed your faces. After over three months without an in-person event and being closed to the public\, we are hosting our first-ever outdoor art market. This will be a smaller event than our usual Open Studios events but promises to be a great and safe event. Join us at The Creative Soul of Lowell and support your favorite local artists. This event will take place in our lofts garden parking lot\, on the west end of our campus. Park your vehicle in our main parking lot and walk over to the market. \nCovid-19 Guidelines:\n– Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.\n– All guests must wear a mask or face covering at all times.\n– Please maintain a six-foot distance from others.\n– We will have hand sanitation stations throughout the market space.\n– There will be no public restrooms during this event. \nWe will post more updates as the event gets closer\, so stay tuned in. \nRain Date: Sunday\, 7/12 \nWeather update: The latest weather sites are showing between a 40-60% chance of scattered showers in the morning and clearing up by noon. We will continue to monitor the weather closely and will make an announcement here if anything changes.

DESCRIPTION:After a successful Outdoor Art Market in July\, we have decided to host our monthly Open Art Studios event virtually for the month of August. This August holds a particularly special meaning to us\, as it marks our 15th year anniversary. It is hard to believe it’s been 15 years since we first opened up with just 32 studios and 42 artists. Now we’re home to over 350 artists\, with every medium imaginable. We have tons of other things planned to celebrate this milestone. Every day in August is a celebration of our journey so stay tuned. \nOur artists are excited to show you what they’ve been working on.
