SUMMARY:Open Studios : September at WA
DESCRIPTION:On the first Saturday of every month\, Western Avenue Studios & Western Avenue Lofts artists open their doors to the public. Visit us and take a peek inside our artists’ work spaces and see for yourself why Western Avenue is the creative soul of Lowell. Open Studios artists are happy to talk about their creative process\, how their lives inform their art – and are happy when their work finds a new home.  There are four buildings to wander through – all entries are accessible from the parking lot. \nWhat else happens on an OS Saturday? The Loading Dock Gallery hosts its’ monthly reception for the gallery’s new show – These Shoes Are Made For Walking – from 4-6pm. Brew’d Awakening will be on the A Mill Loading Dock serving up their delicious coffees as well as Sweet Lydia’s Chocolates.  Navigation Brewing is hosting a fundraiser for the NH Roller Derby with members hanging at NB from 12-5pm. And a food truck will be ready for action from noon – 8pm. \n  \nWe have plenty of on site parking\, are dog friendly and handicapped accessible.  We hope to see you with family and friends on September 7th! \n

DESCRIPTION:On the first Saturday of every month\, Western Avenue Studios & Western Avenue Lofts artists open their doors to the public. Come take a peek inside their work spaces and see for yourself why Western Avenue is the creative soul of Lowell. \nOur next Open Studios is Saturday\, August 3\, 2019\, from 12-5PM. \nWe are celebrating the Dog Days of Summer with a special shout out to our artists that love painting the four legged creatures we share our lives with. (No diss to the felines out there – you can find them featured in artwork too!!) Open Studios is a day to chat with artists about their creative process\, find out about classes\, and order a portrait of Fido! \nWhat else happens on an OS Saturday? Food Truck Chez Rafiki will be on site until 8pm.  Navigation Brewing is open from 2-10pm. And the Loading Dock Gallery hosts its’ monthly reception for the gallery’s new show “Funky Book Show” from 4-6pm. \n  \nWestern Avenue is a complex of four buildings of artist studios and loft residences that number over 350 artists. We think that makes us the largest artist community at least on the East Coast – right here in Lowell MA!! \nThis is a free event AND we have plenty of free parking.
