Fall isn’t the only thing in the air, new art is as well!

Cozy up with new art!

Oooooohh fall has arrived and we are excited to open our doors again!  Our artists have settled in from an adventurous summer of creating new art, plein air painting, photographing nature, mixing new glazes and so much more. First Saturday Open Studios is the day you get to chat with the artists and get to know about their creative process.

We have some exciting art demos being held throughout the building, check out our demo board when you come into the building for details. We’ve got some special community organizations joining us for a pop-up during our October Open Studios – bringing a taste of Lowell our jam-packed day of art and creativity. Follow our event page for more details.

Head to Western Avenue, grab your favorite fall drink and spend October 2nd from noon until 5 pm wandering the hallways of the Creative Soul of Lowell – home to over regional 350 artists.

Mandalas

The Loading Dock Gallery becomes a place of contemplation with its October show, Mandalas. Presented in conjunction with Lowell’s Poetry Convergence, Mandalas features winners of the Loading Dock Gallery’s annual New England Regional competition, juried this year by Western Avenue artist Anne Plaisance.

As part of the seventh Annual Poetry Convergence, area poets will write poems inspired by individual works and read their work at the gallery on Saturday October 2, at 5PM, at the close of Western Avenue’s monthly Open Studios.

Mandalas runs September 29 – October 31, 2021 at Loading Dock Gallery, 122 Western Avenue, Lowell, MA, with a gallery reception 3-5pm, October 2, 2021.
