Are you looking for the perfect date idea? Our February Open Studios is an excellent date idea for any art lover, with five floors filled with art and over 100 artists planning on being open. Apart from art for you to take in, we have a coffee shop, a food truck, and a brewery. What more could you need for a perfect date?
Are you still looking for a Valentine’s Day gift? Find your someone special something special at this month’s Open Studios on February 5th, from noon until 5 pm. Many of our artists sell art pieces perfect for gifting, from jewelry to ceramics and other art mediums.
New mini-Galleries Installed and New Loading Dock Gallery Show
The Studios is excited for two new mini-gallery shows to open on February 5th. The 2nd floor hosts a collection of work entitle Snow in the Forest by loft artist Amy Roberts. The 4th floor hosts a show of WA artists commemorating Black History Month. Please enjoy wandering the Studios building on Saturday and checking out these exhibits which will be up the entire month of February.
This February, the Loading Dock Gallery presents Background/Colors, a show which explores setting, sensation, and point of view. Gallery members present their experiences through the masterful interaction of imagery and color. Background/Colors explores the energy of our worlds: inherited, perceived, and imagined. Artwork ranges from traditional through realism to abstract, in painting, photography, collagraph prints, wood, and fiber. Meet the artists from 3-5 pm, during February’s First Saturday Open Studios.
A Deli & More Art That You Can Taste!
So good, we had to invite them back for a second month. Lou’s Deli joins us bringing with them their signature New York deli style sandwiches, that will leave you wanting more.
Tiny Arms Coffee is now offering delicious and savory waffles. These waffles pair perfectly with their in-house roasted coffee drinks. The coffee shop is open Saturday from 9 am until 4 pm.
Navigation Brewing Company just finished brewing their signature Winter Warmer ale, a perfect brew for New England winters. Navigation also has their mango seltzer on tap for anyone looking for a gluten free alternative to beer. The brewery is open 4-10 pm on Saturday.
Covid-19 and Event Guidelines
In order to bring you a fun and safe in-person event, we have instituted some safety rules for our events. Safety is our number one concern, and we hope you understand. We can’t wait to see you!
- Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.
- Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth are required for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, aged two years and above, in accordance with City of Lowell indoor mask regulations.
- Please maintain a six-foot distance from others, where possible.
- We will have hand sanitation stations at the entries to the building.
There is no charge for this event. This event is dog friendly, we just ask that you keep your pup on a leash.
