Cool Comfort explores the dynamic between the cold clarity of the winter and the intimate warmth found inside -whether depicted literally or suggested through abstract form, color, and space. The outer landscapes’ austerity sharpens our awareness, revealing what feels essential. In contrast, interior warmth becomes a symbol of refuge and connection. This theme reflects how comfort is most deeply understood in relation to its opposite, allowing both representational scenes and abstract gestures to express the dynamic between the edge of chill and the warm embrace of home.
