It’s T-shirt Weather Somewhere in the World!!
Kick off the new year with The Creative Soul Of Lowell. Come in from the cold and get to know Western Avenue’s 300+ artists, as you make your way through our historical mills. Bring a friend and come explore.
What else happens on an OS Saturday? Our pop-up this month is a special t-shirt extravaganza event, featuring various artists from our community. Offering t-shirts in various styles and designs to pair perfectly with the rest of your wardrobe or give it a bit of pop. This pop-up will be located in the A Mill Loading Dock. Brew’d Awakening will also be on the A Mill dock with coffee tea and goodies.
As part of the experience, some of artists host various demos. Like Middlesex Bindery, who’s going to demostrate the process behind bookbinding throughout the day in studio A314. Amy R. Roberts give you a behind the scenes look at her painting process, as she hosts a demo throughtout the day in loft 214. Come see these demos and more!
Opportunity Knocks
The Loading Dock Gallery welcomes 2020 with a special show of creativity and artistry – Opportunity Knocks. The holidays will be over, celebrations complete and you may have gift cards and returns that give you some extra spending power. A great time to pamper yourself with a little art! This is an all member show that runs January 3 – 27th. The featured artist in the Back Door Gallery this month is Denise Rainis.
Western Avenue is a complex of four buildings of artist studios and loft residences that number over 330 artists. We think that makes us the second largest artist community in the U.S. – right here in Lowell MA!! We love having the public visit us and bring some creative exploration to their day.
Navigation Brewing will open at 2pm and a new to Open Studios food truck joins us, Get Your Irish On. They’ll be serving up serving the best corned beef you’ve ever tasted along with other delicious Irish inspired dishes that will make your mouth water.
