Summer cruising.
July holds special meaning here at Western Avenue since our new lease year begins July 1st. That means new faces to our wonderful art community. It also means that some of your favorite artists might have new homes throughout the building. It’s a great time to wander and explore what new art is hanging in our halls.
So join us this Saturday from noon until 5 pm – we hope we’ll see you here.
If you plan to join us, we do not require guests to wear masks/face coverings while inside Western Avenue, but we do recommend bringing one in case a specific studio or business requires it within their space.
Who We Are: Celebrating Diversity, A New Loading Dock Gallery Show & Mini Gallery Collaboration
The Loading Dock Gallery is taking over a few of our Mini Gallery spaces this month, as they gear up for their special Celebrating Diversity event on July 16th. To learn more, click here. Loading Dock Gallery presents Who We Are: Celebrating Diversity. A.O. Scott wrote, “It is the mission of art to free our minds.” Who We Are showcases art from Greater Lowell, focusing on the often over-looked, including the BIPOC, LGBT+, and non-binary communities.

The return of Eggroll Cafe!
Eggroll Cafe returns to Open Studios this month, serving Asian fusion specialties that are fresh, flavorful, and healthy. A blend of exciting and indulgent dishes that are creative yet non-esoteric.
Start your art adventure day with Tiny Arms Coffee, our resident coffee shop, and coffee roaster. They have some new great additions to their menu and open at 9 am.
The Summer Open Studios festivities continue on Navigation Brewing Co.‘s outdoor patio. This month they are welcoming back a Western Avenue favorite Southern Twist, serving great authentic southern food. The brewery will be open from 4 until 10 pm.
Covid-19 and Event Guidelines
In order to bring you a fun and safe in-person event, we have instituted some safety rules for our events. Safety is our number one concern, and we hope you understand. We can’t wait to see you!
- Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.
- Face coverings/masks are not required but recommended since some lofts or studios, as well as businesses may require them for entry into their space.
- Please maintain a six-foot distance from others, where possible.
- We will have hand sanitation stations at the entries to the building.
There is no charge for this event. This event is dog friendly, we just ask that you keep your pup on a leash.
