Artist Name: Deborah Banerjee

I paint vintage spacecraft that are historical missions. These paintings are based on the spacecraft built by Jet Propulsion Lab during the 20th century.  They were sent out into the solar system on science missions. Occasionally I venture out into the world and paint. Long walks lead to interesting sites on the edge of where people and wildness meet. I use painting, collage and installations to explore the culture of science, medicine and the body. My work often involves viewing devices, perspective, viewpoints and shifts in perception.
