Get A Jumpstart On Holiday Shopping This Year!
While the weather is still delightful.
As we head into November, we are continuing with our First Saturday year round events with another Outdoor Art Market. With the holidays quickly approaching, our artists are bundling up to bring you unique handmade gifts for the special people on your holiday gift lists.
We have some of your favorite artists returning for this month’s Outdoor Art Market, along with some making their Outdoor Art Market debut! There will be 50 artists in total and the variety of art will be broad – from the traditional to the not so traditional – as you always see at Western Avenue.
We will have two separate market areas to keep the traffic flow going – just look for our yellow vest wearing volunteers for assistance when you get here.
First the market – then an online gift catalog.
In the days leading up to November 7th, we will be giving you a glimpse into the artists and makers that you can expect to see. We will be achieving this through our Facebook event page and our Instagram feed. We will be showcasing the artists and their work so you can preview the event like a catalog – ahead of time. This online catalog function will continue on into December involving all the WA artists who can assist with online purchases.
Apart from a preview of our artist vendors, our Facebook event page is also where you will be able to find up to the minute updates, such as if we would move to our rain date (which is November 8th).
Home For The Holidays, Mediterranean Cuisine, & More!
This event may be outside, but we have some excitement going on inside as well. The Loading Dock Gallery will be open for in-person browsing, featuring their Home For The Holidays art show. This show will be filled with fine art and crafts in all media that reflect the joy, memories, significance of home, celebrating the holidays, and getting a start on the gift-buying season. Chez Rafiki will be once again joining us. Bringing with them an assortment of exotic Mediterranean cuisine dishes that promise to make your mouth water. Quench your thirst afterward (4-10 pm) with Navigation Brewing Company, serving up handcrafted beers made right here at Western Avenue Studios! Make a day out of it and stick around for dinner, Empanada Dada will be serving up their Cuban inspired empanadas 4-10 pm.
Covid-19 guidelines
Building on the success and lessons of each event we host, we are bringing you a fun and safe in-person event, with the health of our artists and you (our supporters) in mind. We have instituted some safety rules for our Outdoor Art Market. Safety is our number one concern, we hope you understand.
– Guests who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have been instructed to quarantine by a medical professional should not attend.
– All guests must wear a mask or face covering at all times.
– Please maintain a six-foot distance from others.
– We will have hand sanitation stations at the entrance and exits of the markets.
– There will be no public restrooms during this event.
There is no charge for this event. This is a friendly dog-friendly event.
