Fall Into Love With New Art
Let’s do it again!
After a successful first-ever Outdoor Art Market in July and a great Virtual Open Studios in August, we heading back outside on the First Saturday of September! Our artists have been hard at work creating all summer long and they can’t wait to show their latest creations.
This September also marks the 15 year anniversary of our very first Open Studios event. Come join us, as we celebrate this huge milestone! Your support is what allows us to do what we do and continue creating art. Make a stop at Western Avenue part of your Labor Day weekend plans – we’ll be so happy to see you.
Mixing old with new.
As we continue to navigate our current normal due to Covid-19, we strive to bring you art on what would have been our 15 year anniversary of hosting Open Studios events, dating back to the days of the citywide art event Lowell Open Studios. While Lowell Open Studios may no longer be a thing, the tradition continues at Western Avenue Studios & Lofts. During a pandemic that entails the need to adapt, mixing traditions with new. We are anticipating this Outdoor Art Market will consist of 40+ vendors from our artist community, spread across our Lofts west parking lot. We promise you will see a huge variety of art mediums at our market, from the traditional to the not so traditional.
Loading Dock Gallery & Empanadas!
While we may be outside for this event, we will have a couple of Open Studios staples. The Loading Dock Gallery we’ll be open for in-person browsing, featuring the debut of their Urban Elements art show featuring Wendy James, John Brickels, Barbara Jean Gilbert. Food truck Empanada Dada will be bringing his signature empanadas with him, in a variety of mouth-watering options. Stay afterward, as Navigation Brewing Company opens 4-10 pm. Navigation will have some of their made in Lowell crafted brews on tap, plus another food truck!
