“Art is the Handmaid of Human Good.”

Support local, shop small.

Local businesses are the heart of the local economy. They’re not just a business, but your neighbor and a member of the same community. For every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 will stay in the community. Studies have shown that local businesses donate to community causes at more than twice the rate of chains. So when you support a local business you are helping nurture your community.

Covid-19 has hit everyone hard this year. Small businesses have been hit harder than big companies and not have the same resources as their larger counterparts. These small businesses are part of what helps keep our communities unique and different from every other community. The more interesting and unique our community, the more we will attract new neighbors, visitors, and guests. This benefits everyone!

The kickoff of the holiday shopping season!

We are here to provide you with a safe and fun way to get your holiday gift shopping taken care of while supporting local artists and businesses. We kick things off with our Small Business Saturday Outdoor Art Market, then launch a new initiative the following Monday, just in time for Cyber Monday. It is our first-ever Creative Catalog. All the way through the holidays we will be using our Instagram page to put a strong focus on products made by our creative community that can complete the transaction online. As with all our events, we will be giving you a preview of what you can expect to see on this blog and our Facebook event page. Follow us to stay amazed by what the artists are creating!

Can’t make it in person for this event? We’ve got you covered with two more in-person events this year. Our artists will be bundling up to bring you two Holiday Outdoor Art Market events in December.

Home For The Holidays, eggrolls, and more!

This event will be one of your final opportunities to catch The Loading Dock Gallery‘s show Home For The Holidays. The gallery will be open 12-6 pm this Saturday. Home for the Holidays features fine art and crafts in all media that reflect the joy, memories, and significance of home, celebrating the holidays, and getting a start on the gift-buying season.

Our food truck for the day will be a local favorite, Eggroll Cafe. Eggroll Cafe is a unique blend of cafe and fusion dining, serving Asian fusion specialties that are fresh, flavorful, and healthy. Navigation Brewing Company opens 4-10 pm. Navigation will have some of their made in Lowell crafted brews on tap, plus cans and growlers to go!
