5 Connect at Loading Dock Gallery

This April, Loading Dock Gallery presents 5 Connect, featuring work of Nancy Cameron, Denise Driscoll, Dina Mordeno, Laurie Simko, and Janet Wolahan.

Connected through friendship, these five artists work share an interest in color, texture, and pattern. Their styles span abstract to representational, with subjects ranging from pure color to botanicals and landscapes.

Cameron’s work is calligraphic, improvisatory, inspired by jazz and the city. Driscoll builds layers with stamps, drips, creating work speaks to inner unseen experience and patterns of connection. Mordeno grounds the spirit with meditations on the horizon, a metaphor for hope for the future in a time of unrest. Inspired by nature’s interconnectedness, Simko creates fluid, joyful paintings and collage. Wolahan offers two series: one based on Rockport’s stone retaining walls, the other inspired by moving homes, called “Stuff We Hide.”
