In this introductory one day class you will collage a small childrens' book using vintage papers, ephemera, fabric and found objects. We will create pockets, mixed media tags and mini books. All materials and supplies will be provided but you are welcome to bring some favorite quotes and any special items that you would like
During this intensive weekend class, you will learn how to make at least 3 hardcover sketchbooks: Coptic Stitch binding, Secret Belgian binding and 2-section cross stitch binding. Some bookmaking or hand sewing experience is necessary to take this class.
In this full day class you will learn how to create a two-needle coptic stitched book with handmade paper covers. You’ll leave class with one finished journal and have the option to purchase further kits to make at home. The class will also include a bonus demonstration on how to create your own book cloth.
